  • Diet

When I say diet, I mean everything you ingest, including medications, vitamins and supplements. • Time Management

Besides our health, time is the one of the most important things we have. Being able to manage our time well will cause a lot of stress to go away. Being on time for appointments or even 5-10 minutes early means that you can relax more. Being early means you don’t have to rush. Accidents happen when you rush! Take, for example, my poor father who was once late for an appointment and rushed across the street only to be knocked over by a car and landing up in hospital for a month after many surgeries! By managing your time well you are being considerate to others and especially to yourself. The best way to do this is by keeping a diary of all appointments to make sure your life is organized.  Also, make it a habit to wake up an hour earlier each day. It will make an enormous difference to your life!

  • Exercise

That’s why so many men that suffer from aggression take up exercises like boxing and wrestling, so that they can release all that built-up tension. There are so many options here. If you suffer badly with stress, and possibly get depressed, a good idea is to exercise in the sunshine as it will literally brighten your day, give you Vitamin D and you will be able to breathe in fresh air. Choose exercise that attracts you, there are so many options. If you have no idea where to start just start off by walking 30 minutes everyday around your neighbourhood and what’s even better is if you take your dog along.

What you need to realise is that everyone suffers some form of anxiety, big or small and hopefully these tips have shown you ways in which you can cope with it better! If you have children who suffer with anxiety, make sure not to miss reading out on Children & Anxiety.
